Celebrate Juneteenth!
Juneteenth is the oldest known holiday celebrating the end of slavery. It started on June 19th 1865, when the union soldiers, led by General Granger came to Galveston Texas and announced that the war was over and the slaves were free.
Join the celebration on June 19th from 3pm – 6pm at Southfield Parks & Recreation which is hosted by the National Congress of Black Women and the Southern Oakland
